Welcoming Ryan Sherman, Esq. to Alvarez Dispute Resolutions Ryan Sherman brings more than two decades of litigation experience to his work as a neutral, with a strong background in first party property, and complex civil matters. Over the course of his career, he has handled a wide range of disputes, including maritime defense, medical malpractice defense, and first-party property insurance claims, giving him a well-rounded perspective on high-conflict litigation.
Before joining Alvarez Dispute Resolution, Ryan spent nearly 17 years leading his own law firm, where he managed high-exposure cases from early case development and discovery through resolution. His experience representing both plaintiffs and defense interests allows him to approach disputes with balance, credibility, and practical judgment. Today, as a full-time neutral, Ryan draws on this extensive litigation background to help parties reach efficient, well-considered resolutions. He is known for his calm approach, his ability to manage complex and contentious matters, and his focus on helping parties avoid the time, cost, and uncertainty of prolonged litigation.
A South Florida native, Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida and his law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and staying active through beach tennis, basketball, skiing, biking, and hiking.

The #MDTLA Gala was an inspiring evening dedicated to leadership, community, and the continued strength of South Florida’s legal profession, shared alongside many respected colleagues.

Daniel Alvarez recently joined his daughter at her school as a guest speaker for an informative career session, where he spoke with students about his work in mediation and the role it plays in resolving disputes. It was a proud moment to share an insider's look at the ADR profession with the next generation of future leaders and highlight the value of collaborative problem-solving.

This opportunity brought several members of our team together for extended learning and engagement across the conference’s wide range of educational sessions and workshops.

Alvarez Dispute Resolution attended the Cuban American Bar Association’s annual gala, Fuiste Tú (52), alongside colleagues and leaders from across the legal and civic community. The evening offered a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with peers, while meeting new members of the CABA community, and celebrate the individuals whose contributions since 1974 have shaped CABA’s lasting impact.
The program focused on shared history, cultural pride, and collective achievement, the gala provides space for reflection, connection, and celebration beyond the podium.
